Beit Shulamit, nearing completion at the Emek Medical Centre in Afula, Israel, serves a diverse population across ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Nestled in landscaped gardens at the foothills of Giv’at Hamoré, the terraced, three-storey design blends with the natural topography, offering indoor/outdoor spaces for reflection. Shading elements and extensive planting enhance environmental efficiency and light interplay. The centre houses advanced cancer care facilities, including radiation therapy, paediatric oncology, and research led by Nobel Laureate Prof. Aharon Chechanover. Named after Dr. Shulamit Katzman, the project honours her legacy as a paediatrician, philanthropist, and social activist.
